Does KWS matter during CG bounty hunting?

Currently bounty hunting in Kaal for the Community Goal. Did the same last week in Kasspoo (sp?). Does using the Kill Warrant Scanner matter in this case? I know normal bounty hunting it will, but not sure when it's a community goal mission.
BTW, if you haven't already and have the materials and engineer access I strongly suggest engineering your KWS to fast scan. I have mine down to 2.2. seconds scan time. The price is range is down to about the same 2.2km, but that hasn't been an issue in busy EZ's. Very nice to have the fast scan time. I select a contact and go ahead with the KWS just in case. Then I target their powerplant and wait until point blank range to open up with my Python's 2 medium turret lasers and 3 large double-shot Frag Cannons. Ships like Eagles I can kill with just 1 pass. Anaconda's take about 30-45 seconds :D

I think the extra bounties you accrue would not count towards the CG unless the CG station is in a low security system with an Interstellar Factors Agent, where you can claim those bounties from other systems.

Could be wrong. Anyone else know for sure?

I've rarely used a KWS in a CG, I just attack all the wanted ships. :) Seems to work fine. KWS can sometimes give you extra bounties if the target is wanted by other factions.

As far as I know bounty hunting CGs only count bounties issued by the CG station's controlling faction and its superpower, if any. So there's little impact on CG progress from using KWS but you do get quite a bit of extra cash using it.

Definitely worth having a KWS, this will increase your bounty payments significantly (in my experience).

Tonight we were bounty hunting at the CG. One of the players said check the contacts screen after selecting a contact that's wanted. On the right side of the contacts screen it show the amount of the bounty. After using the KWS we checked again, and the bounty had gone up 50%. Probably doesn't apply to the CG rankings thou. But definitely worth it.

On average, you get about 30% credits by using a KWS. A 0C KWS costs 120K and pays back over 1 million per hour, so you'd me mad not to use one.

If you want to be a bounty hunter, it also makes sense to sign up with Zachary Hudson (Federation) or Arissa Lavigny-Duval (Empire) to get at least 20% on top of what you get from the KWS, so about 56% bonus on every bounty. It only takes about 15 minutes to get the level 2 powerplay merits you need, but the bonus doesn't pay until after the following Wednesday night, so that's not so useful for community goals.

In about 2 weeks I'll get my Pack Hound missiles, then I'm headed for Zachary Hudson's territory. Already have a home base picked out (Bhotega), I have been using Tun but their stock levels suck, always find myself jumping over to Bhotega for Outfitting. Bhotega also has Extraction Zones with smaller bases nearby so I won't need to leave the system for Bounty Hunting. Those bases only have medium landing pads so my Anaconda and Clipper will have to take secondary roles to my Python and Vulture. Otherwise I'd be driving a bit to the main station to rearm. Thinking about buying a FDL but haven't decided for sure yet.
In the meantime I'll use Wolf 1241 after moving my ships from Kaal at the end of the community event. That's in Li Yong-Rui's territory. Good BH location, stock levels are medium but Diagundai is 1 jump away if I need something. Most of the guys in my fleet are planning to pledge ZH since we do so much bounty hunting together.
