Does Planet Coaster have HDR support?

I'm considering upgrading my Sony KDL40EX720 (full HD) HDTV (which I got late 2011), to a Samsung 43' 4K HDR HDTV. The Australian/New Zealand version has a 100Mhz refresh rate thingy. Though my current Sony has something like XR200. My current Sony has an X-Reality processor (not X-Reality Pro).

Reasons I'm considering the upgrade is because I have a good PC, an Xbox One X, and an Xbox 360 slim console.

With my current sony TV, it's terrible with anti-aliasing and jaggies, has no HDR, doesn't have a quad core processor like Samsung, the UI on Samsung is more user friendly, and my Samsung choice I've seen a lot of good reviews with HDR, rich colours, and much better blacks, and possibly better anti-aliasing and less jaggies.

Planet Coaster does not currently have HDR support. Few PC games do.
Here are a few questions you need to ask yourself about upgrading to this new TV:

- Has the majority of your Xbox One X library received 4k-patches, and do a decent chunk of them support HDR?
- Are you prepared to run your PC games at lower settings or framerates to be able to play at 4k resolution?
- If not, are you willing to play your PC games at 1080p with the same settings and framerate as you do now, but with a noticeably blurrier look due to scaling?
- Are you willing to play your Xbox 360 games (none of which support HDR, by the way) with a slightly jaggier look due to the TV being a little bigger?

If the answer to most of these questions is "No", I don't recommend you upgrade.

one fact remains, tv's will never look as good as monitors.with that said a 4k tv looks 20 times better than a 1080p tv.i bought a 43 inch sharp tv for flight simming and it looks amazing.the key with large screens is sitting far enough away from them.

That will depend on the source material, quality of the TV and its components itself and viewing distance compared to screen size.

In order to benefit from a 4k TV that is 43" you would have to sit about 2 feet or less away from the TV. You would have to go up to 60"+ before you can see a noticeable benefit of 4k vs. 1080p. And that is at a distance of about 5 feet or less away from the screen. This has to do with what a perfect human eye (20/20 vision) can physically handle.
