Engineers Does Professor Palin sell all the classes of Thrusters?

Does Prof Palin sell all the classes of thrusters? As in can I take a large ship out there and get everything from a 2A to an 8A thruster mod done and just store them all for transfer later?

I was going to take an Asp out there and get the lower classes done and then thought about dragging my Cutter out that way and get some higher classes modded up.

Is this doable?

If EDDB is correct, this is the list of thrusters you can buy over at Palin's.

2A Thrusters
2C Thrusters
3A Thrusters
3C Thrusters
4B Thrusters
4C Thrusters
5B Thrusters
5C Thrusters
6B Thrusters
6D Thrusters
7B Thrusters
7D Thrusters
8C Thrusters
8D Thrusters

It's the same thing with every other engineer. I see no reason why the engineers cannot have all the class sizes of modules in stock they're specialized with. :|

No

You can only do Thrusters that you can install on that ship.

The smallest stock thruster you can put on a Cutter is a 6A

Well that kinda sucks that he doesn't sell A-grade's above 3A. I would have been nice take the Cutter out and do 6 thru 8 A's. Then maybe an AspE for 5's and 4's and even an Adder for the 2's and 3's.

It looks like I will just have to take my respective ships out that need upgrades. So far only my Python has DD5 drives.

I believe it's part of FD's sadistic side. You want top-shelf/A grade dirty drives, buy you can't buy them anywhere close. So you get to jump in a Cutter 15-20ly at a time....

Since I had to do just that, I decided to mod another 7A for a Corvette (still a ways off with rank), while I was there. But at least with that, you could go to Palin in an Anaconda to mod the 7A. You're just kind of screwed with the cutter.

All the other ships, you can fly an Anaconda and transfer the modules to Palin's base, then mod them (then ultimately transfer them back to wherever you have the ships they go to). Even if it's 5A modules, you can use an Asp (if you don't have/can't get an Anaconda yet). It seems the Cutter is the "lone wolf" with this process.

At one point, I think I had 8 5A drives.

Yea you need to have a few ships of different sizes that jump well to make engineering less of a pain, especially regarding G5 thrusters. Like hauler for the smallest ships, DBXS for a little bit larger, Asp E for the mid range, and Conda for the big 'uns. For example.

Else fly them to Maia, all separately. If you're planning to do engineering to any a greater number of vessels in the end I warmly recommend building ships just for engineering duty at first opportunity. Also when you do tkae the time to fly to Palin, should make sure you're not flying there just to have a roll or a few on just one set of thrusters.

but you can transfer moduls over there.

i normally buy all thrusters i want to mod at palin in founders world, fly over with my conda/AspE/Adder, transfer the thrusters, and mod them...
