Newcomer / Intro Does RES have some sort of regular schedule or is everything random?

I noticed that RES goes through some form of... schedule. some times, theres nothing going on, sometimes its just little dudes worth like 3k each, sometimes its a cobra haven and sometimes it becomes an anaconda breeding-ground. Is this set to some sort of a schedule for each RES? or is this totally random?

So... the best strategy would be to find a secluded RES, and then jump in and out until I get the "tons of anaconda" mode?

This is the part I dislike about Elite Dangerous. Jumping in and out of Nav Beacons, Unidentified Signal Source and Resource Extraction Sites to reset the NPC's.
It feels a bit too artificial.
