Does RES type affect bounty hunting?

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I was unable to find the answer after a bit of searching.

Does the type of belt/ring affect the number/type of ships that appear? For example, I was bounty hunting in a rocky, depleted reserves asteroid belt and saw mostly wanted sidewinders and adders. There were lots of them, but almost nothing larger. Would the RES of a pristine metallic belt/ring make for better bounty hunting?

"Apparently" High tech systems with high populations tend to offer better spawns at RES sites, although I've seen little evidence of that personally. The variance in extraction sites themselves don't have any effect on spawns as far as I'm aware.

You want Metal Rich and Rocky to have RES sites to appear in the planet rings, if that helps. The former may give you more spawns.

i have done alot of testing on this pre 1.2 and as long as its metal rich you should get decent spawns, if the first 2-3 bounties are on the low side do a quick jump out and back in till you get the good paying bounties but def metal rich, rocky tends to take longer to get into the decent spawns, cant see it being much dif in 1.2, working away from home so wont be able to play till tomorrow night.
