Does selling Codex data count as a positive transaction?

When you acquire Codex data, you can sell this data at any starport, under the Authority contact - just like a bounty, or "intel packages" found by scanning data points.

Does this sale of Codex data count as a positive influence transaction for BGS purposes? I realise it's only one transaction and probably the most difficult of all transactions to accumulate (so it's the most difficult to conduct experiments with), but every little bit helps, especially for a returning explorer looking to maximize their impact.

Short version... I think there's not much info out there about the effects of things like codex data, barnacle scans, core data packages or Intel data.

It is supposed to work as cartographic data. It is positive to the station owner you sold it. Like S&R.

we failed to detect an effect for data packages when we tested - but it was a very long time ago.
