Does Smuggling acummulate with Trading to calculate our Trade Rank, or not?

iirc those smashing the seeking luxuries did millions of "trade" but it did not budge their trader rank, only added to their smuggling.

hell rather than have it add too trade, I would like 2 more elite ranking......... 1 for smuggler and 1 for pirate.

I believe actual smuggling (ie: interacting with the Bulletin Board in a station) counts, but not NPCs magically draining your hold. I'll keep that in mind when I get back to trading. Pretty close to Tycoon and it'd be worth checking into.

There some kind of smuggling change due in 1.3 really hope its a good one that makes smuggling worth while.
