Nop, doesn't
For ships it does definetly not work, for Equipment it does, but i would recommend not to sell any equipment you bought for the full price there, a example why: Lets say you have bought a FSD for 5.1 Mill full price, and want to buy the same one again in the founders System just for 4,5 Mill, as soon as you sell the old one back for 5.1 mill on the station the option to buy one for 4.5 mill will vanish - it seems the reason for this is the old FSD for 5.1 Mill being in the Rebuying list
No and I doubt we will ever get anything from backing. We have to wait for the small sect of people that cry "no pay to win" to leave. Previously the idea was to give backers a discount or special things in the founder system. Later, a small group of people formed the "life is unfair committee" and screamed that allowing backers to get something that non-backers couldn't get was a pay to win scenario.
I understand the no pay to win concept. But people are taking it way too far. Discounts should be fine. I would understand if they started selling ships on the store or special weapons with super DPS. But allowing the backers to get discounts for funding the game and taking a risk on their dime. Its a slap in the face to backers when FD even considers listening to people that wasn't willing to take the risk.
So FD hasn't decided what to do.
and to the ," I don't care because I don't need discounts" guy. That's great. Your opinion doesn't count. If they give discounts, don't use them. Explain why we shouldn't have them other than you don't need them.

Same pay2win choir is singing on Star Citizen's forums... But Cloud Imperium seems a lot less willing to renege on their promises to backers than FD, who seems to have folded on pretty much everything of value there was. Of course there's still the possibility of devaluation instead of complete removal, similar to the insurance discount here.
And like with the offline debate, there's always plenty of people ready to snub you just to show their trolling prowess.
I agree with you in a number of ways, even though you are annoyed at complaints. No final judgement could or should be made, the jury will remain out until FD establishes a 2015 track record for delivering on support, fixes and features. For an offline single player backer, its pretty difficult to be positive - and if you're prevented completely from playing by server issues, it becomes even harder. I wouldn't even bother loitering on the forum if I could actually play the freaking game. I didn't come here to loiter either, but looking for a solution, but none has been forthcoming. And even though "login issues are prioritized by support over the holidays", there has been no response. How about the promise of FD to deliver a working game this year.we're all playing it.. All reasonable complaints aside, basically calling out FD on breaking promises, whereas they have delivered and keep delivering still, its making me tired. And yes I'm contemplating not playing for a few months, so I can experience a slew of features i'm currently missing. but still I feel they delivered what they promised. Also much of the "features" people are calling promises, where based on GAME DESIGN DISCUSSIONS, not on actual game design promises, with deadlines and descriptions. FD was pretty up front on what they where focusing upon. True not as over the top open as Chris Roberts, but they're gonna be at it for years before you get to play something even comparable to ED. --sorry to take my reply here, have kept my annoyance with all this complaining inside for long enough----also not invalidating any critisisms on the game design, so don't bash me-----
