Does the Game Round Influence?

In a War, on today's tick the two MFs went to 10.4% and 5.4% respectively, so that's a 5.0% difference, and the War should effectively have been won and will end on tomorrow's tick. I want to stop fighting for the winner today, and fight for the loser (really trying to get the winner into a Retreat).

BUT, does the game round? I.e. could we instead be at 4.99% and the War is not yet over?

TIA
JC

IIRC you can see more precision in the journal log.

How long has the conflict been running?
If the winning faction is going to capture a station then look out for the asset change, it happens the day before the conflict ends so should be your que to switch sides

Rarely use the log, but shows 0.104000 and 0.054000. The other MFs in the same log all have three trailing zeros, so none display beyond the third decimal place.

Been running five days. Good point about the asset change being recorded earlier than the conflict ending. I rechecked and the asset has not changed hands. Guess that means another day of War!

I understand it does do some rounding - but have not encountered a time where an exact 5% occurred to say for certain.

Will keep you posted, then, as we hit exactly 5.0% split.

I suspect as the asset (Outpost) didn't change ownership that we're not on the final day of the War, and a little nudge is needed this evening ahead of Wednesday's tick. I don't want to push too far, as I still need the winning MF's influence to then crater (using the newly acquired Outpost with a functioning Black Market to drive down the Inf through smuggling - right tactic, oui? The Outpost has no Commodity Market, and the MF holds no other assets, so shoud not see Inf creep up absentmindedly through general trading by other CMDRs). Next up will be to trigger a War in another system for the same MF but I'd want to win that War, and use that period to push the Inf in this current system even lower.

The war lasts from a minimum of 3+1 to a maximum of 20+1 days. If in today's server update the outpost has not changed hands from one faction to another, it means that the war will last. If it has changed ownership, the war will last another day.

To be precise you should read the local GalNet, to see if there is any news about it.

Not the game, but the interface is rounding. Take a look in the log - you'll often see a huge pile of digits after decimal point. I am cutting this in my BGS parser. A sample is below - yesterday in Ratraii, taken from log (FSDJump event)
