Does the menu always reset when you open it?

Is there a way to keep it at the same item that you last used, instead of it always going back to the beginning? Like with the nature and construction tabs?

Alas, no. Except when you don't want it ... like for a few months, every time I opened the animal trading tab it was always on the bongo - even across different zoos and different types of zoo (franchise, sandbox, etc) and even after I reset it ... several times. Planet Zoo can be ... special, sometimes.

When I need the same item multiple times and always have to change the group, I read the name of the item and put it into the filter, so only this item will show. After changing the group, I will still have only this item showing up. It's a bit of a nusiance but better than scrolling through the whole building tab again and again.
