Does the Orca have a purpose yet or what...

Ive been gone for awhile and i sometimes pop in on the forums to see what one small portion is doing. The News Letters are imo pretty pathetic and havent given much information worth knowing since like.... #27? May as well flip it and only send a couple screens/sketches and nothing else.

Anyways, CQC released. K. Cool. But what about the Orca and missions in general. Still the same as they have been since forever (besides not bugging as much)?

Not yet, we also are not getting the 2 other passenger ships in 1.5 either. So that suggests that if we do get a role for it its going to be later in Horizons.

Not that passenger missions are the reason i bought the game or they excite me in anyway. They are going to feel like normal trading anyways knowing FD, but seriously.... How long has it frikkin been. The dropship is another one, but arguably may have a true purpose in Horizons. I doubt it though.

So far I think its purpose is to rival the Imperial Clipper as the most lavish way to transport more than 100 tons of cargo, or the most lavish way to travel.

The Orca is a great long-range exploration ship.

What other ship can make it all the way to Sagittarius A* with a hold full of booze?

you can park it at right angles across the letterbox of stations- great for blockades..

I heard it makes a great pirate ship do to its high speed. and decent weapons.
