Doesn't Anybody Play Conan Exiles?

It's just another crafting survival game out there. Dozens and hundreds of them. Also, considering that it's not even made by some small indie team makes me wonder why another early access... They're milking the genre, and IMO it exhausted itself already. In short - meh.

I will likely give it a go. When its released.

I don't like to play early access games, it spoils the experience for when they are finally released.

I heard from people that played this that Conan could ends up as one of the better survival games out there. But right now it literally looks like Ark with out dinosaurs, even the menus are the same. What engine those games runs on btw?

No complaints from me yet. Although you should all know that online games will still disconnect you even after they have been finalised for sale. As for me I just made suggestions on Steam discussion forums. Not sure wether I should go on about the optional nudity. It's not like hard core and has been done before in Mortal Online before the later stages of that game.

So in that respect it may not last out it'd Early Access, but I hope it does, Because it adds that impression of relaxed attitudes in ales civilised world. It gives me a bit more to stare at and then there further options adjust size, but only at the start. TO me this is pleasant change when violent games have always been acceptable, even when this happens outside this game.

I'd rather be arrested for public nudity than extreme violence.

Again feeling ggod about controlling some virtual dude who now looks more noticeably gifted down there also feels alittle lame since any player can adjust female /male and male whanger from meagre to extreme star demesions. Personally a quest or this new part of character creation random ( Technically not right if you want complete control over their appearance.) Although it's normal for better esqipment to become available only after you have acquired the correct resources, skills, hard ware to make them ;)

From what I've seen it's yet another tedious tree punching survival game, and is a bit of an insult to the memory of Robert E. Howard.

Having played it for a while now it's still too early to tell what it will be like. Currently it's just another survival game, and the mechanics are still very rough. Whether it takes off or not will depend entirely on how well the mechanics are optimised and how much content the game is given. If they rely on it being another PvP arena with some Conanesque bling it will be very ho-hum. If it has sufficient content to make it swing as a solo or private server game for a team as well it could be a winner.

I am getting buckets full of lulz just reading the steam forum. Tools whining that an early access game is buggy and unfininshed, and (ironically) others complaining that the developer deploys to many fixes...

I have never understood people like that who backs an early access, an UNFINISHED product and then complain that it is buggy and unfinished?

These games have survival all wrong. I can't see any fun in hacking trees down to get enough sticks to build a box to put your sticks in.

Best survival game I've played is STALKER C.O.P. with the Misery mod installed, and you don't need to collect any sticks

Interesting. I had seen that they were using Dreamworld DevKit for modding so assumed it was all done via Dreamworld but it turns out that they use Unreal for the frontend and Dreamworld for the backend.

Yeah, I actually agree with you there on some levels. Games these days should be very careful if they are based on well known identities. Especially since, I can only be too aware these types of survival games don't really do justice since I just running around doing the work of more than just one person and building villages, towns, cities in the name of Conan who only explored, robbed, slayed and finally ruled over a kingdom that he didn't have to build from the ground up himself and yet, I can't ignore this game and want to continue playing it/

Besides, I really hope they rethink that stuff about gods or their avatars being summoned just willy nilly by everybody playing this game. that should be a rare power and that squiddy thing looks just silly. Only scary, cause it's big.
