Dolphin speed capped at 585 m/s?

So I have a material collecting dolphin, It's great. There are so many internals, jump range is good, it's fast. So I'm thinking how much speed can i get out of it, mine currently does 585 m/s. So i buy another dolphin, strip my internals off my mat grabber, and think if i keep it bare I'll be able to get some more speed from it, so I throw the powerplant and thrusters on it..Cool, I'm already at 585 m/s, this rate when I put the rest on ill really have some speed! So I keep going, D rated FSD, D life support, D sensors g5 lightweight...No increase to speed, it stays capped at 585 m/s. My jump range increased with all the new additions, but my speed won't budge from 585...no internals, D rated shield with g5 enhanced low power. Is it possible it's capped at 585? has anyone seen one faster or am I doing something wrong? Thnx

You have likely reached the minimum mass limit for your thrusters, same deal with every ship. At that point any further weight reduction will not result in a speed increase. It is the point you want to reach on any racing ship build.
