Dominion DLC is very disappointing

Earlier this year we got a massive free update along side a 10$ price point DLC that gave us buildings, decorations, placeable trees, new fence types and massive updates to the sandbox mode. the expectations was very high for this DLC based off of that alone then today we get a bombshell announcement for the Dominion DLC. Four new animals and some skin variants along with just shy of the content in the last major update but because it is movie content the buildings are put into the paid DLC when it could have been in the free update and the story which was cut from the base game is now being added they want us to pay more. This is unacceptable where are all the Dominion animals selling us an incomplete roster is starting to kill this game for me. Lets not forget that there where 2 omissions from the camp cretaceous DLC such as the Smilodon being a huge missing animal from that pack we want all the canon animals not a few. The content creators are no help either with them always talking about Smilodon during the build up to the Camp Cretaceous DLC or the Microceratus, the Oviraptor, the Atrociraptor, and the Lystrosaurus. There is no excuse for this if the those five canon animals do not get added to this game not JWE3 then im done supporting Frontier

In truth, the only missing dinosaur created by BioSyn is the Moros. So yes, maybe many would have wanted more dinosaurs, but it actually makes sense that there are only BioSyn species in a dedicated BioSyn pack. Frontier could probably create a "Prehistoric & Malta Dominion Pack" for the other dinosaurs. My main criticism is that they added an entire campaign to a DLC, while it should have been free. The ideal would have been Sierra Nevada's Chaos Theory as a free campaign, and the BioSyn campaign as Chaos Theory, because it really is, as it is inspired by the film. And of course BioSyn's Chaos Theory would be included in the pack. Instead it seems too confusing, as if they wanted to insert a bit of everything without doing anything complete. The price seems exaggerated, but it's only because you don't understand the organization of Frontier and you lose faith, but in reality a DLC based on BioSyn with all the BioSyn species, a dedicated building set and the Chaos Theory which requires all of the above to be played I would have appreciated that. Too bad, because in my opinion the organization is an excellent strategy, it would have allowed Frontier to leave the prices unchanged without giving rise to any perplexity. I would have much more willingly bought a pack entirely and exclusively dedicated to BioSyn for 20 dollars and one with the dinosaurs of Malta and the missing prehistoric ones for less than 10 dollars, with 4 species (Atrociraptor, Lystrosaurus, Oviraptor and Microceratus) and the skin of the feathered T-Rex.

It's a building park and so for me, more and more creative building and creating options, and more decorations more essential as new creatures or dinosaurs in the same looking enviroments
Same for me. Having billions of prehistoric animals is surely cool but if in the end they end in the same enclosures and parks again and again, it gets boring quite fast.

That's why my biggest disappointments about this DLC aren't the missing animals (but I'm still missing them, don't get me wrong) but the buildings and decorations.

New BioSyn style is kinda cool but for 20€, I hoped it to be more complete. No hostels, no classic fences, no tour, no lagoons nor aviary, no classic viewing gallery/towers. Me at least I'm on XSX so ultimately I can mix but damn, for me mixing BioSyn with InGen is pure heresy, and DFW style is TOO FAR AND DIFFERENT from BioSyn (that's what you get to compensate when you pick BioSyn only as a style. And so what got the old consoles players) One is really advanced/futuristic and stylised, and the other one is ultra practical ... they totally don't fit with each other.
I like to make RP themed parks/reserves in one style but I totally can't with BioSyn without mixing or it goes quite boring really fast as it's the most limited style (the only things I mix are the more neutral ones, like JW/Park fences. JW lvl 5 fences are quiet cool to use as walls.)
We can make complete parks/reserves with DFW now but not with the style we payed 20€, thats kinda a missed opportunity.

For decorations, first we could have got a little more and what is a shame is that this biome use the alpine/taïga trees decorations instead of the swampy cool ones ...

Why the hyperloop isn't available for other styles ? It's an invisible (well except when we activate construction/desctruction mode) and so useful mechanic that it can easily be applied to other styles (just rename it "services tunnels" or "underground monorail" if you want to keep the hyperloop name for BioSyn.)

I bought all DLC for JWE I and have to say after the first 2 really cool Dinosaurpack/DLC which gave us al lot new options/features with the free updates im really Disappointed from The Dominion DLC !
1.) Tooo many species from the Movie and Prolog are still missing especially for a pricepiont of 20€ !
Where the hack are the Atrociraptor, Microceratus or Morus I, ???? Biosin DLC misses a lot out !
2.) Still no new Decorations or interactions for Lagoons and Aviarys ! Still no options to have Lagoons without walls and fences or Aviaries without a roof ...like the hapitat the the Quetzalcoatlus had in the Biosin Valley.....it was NOT IN AN Aviary ! And espiacially for our Pterosaurs it would be soooo cool to use "invisible fences" like they did in JW Dominion for the Quetzalcoatlus.
3.) Giganotosaurs etc. should not be "variants" but much better "Subspecies" with own slotts for much more own skins !!!
4.) While Sauropods still are not really able to fight back the Therizinosaurs is extremly overpowered to kill all carnivores and Iguanodon much to easy.
an Sauropode like Diplodocus could use its tail like a whip and kill most Carnivores and Theri for example. An T - rex should have the smartness to bite into the arms of a Theri.... .
5. Quetzlcoatlus is much tooooooo overpowered too ,....and it´s too BIG ! While the real one would have been able to kill and eat humans, it woul never have been able to swallow a human like that new in the game in one piece! the animation for killing small herbivores and carnivores are cool, but it realy should not bee able to kill Parasaurolophus ...thats just rediculous :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: ! And The Quetzalcoatlus woul need much more an Animtion for Walking !!!! It looks so stupid, that this giant never walks and only can fly to move arround in its habitat.

because of all this reasons I must say that this DLC is not only the most expensive ( Despite some things most likely only where cut from the Base game because of the delay of the movie !) but for me the most boring and Dissapionting. The free updates and Dinosaur packs and CC DLC brought much more cool/inovative content into the game.
I really Hope that Frontier will at least add the lot of missing Species from Dominion for free like in the JW fallen kingdoom update.
If frontier wants another 10€ for this species as a " Malta or Black Market species Pack" I would be even more Dissapointed form the new business modell of the Company.

I bought the Dominion Expansion Pack and had it installed thinking that some of the four new species be available in the Jurassic Park era Challenge mode before I watched the movie. Laugh at the fool if you all dare. The fact is I waited until July 8, 2022 to watch the film so that I can try out the movie-related content. Since I watched the film, I understand why many of the fans and players here are disappointed with this DLC. To be honest, I am disappointed because Microceratus/ Microceratops are not included since its appearance in the movie. Crichton wrote about Dr. Alan Grant and the Murphy siblings encountered the Microceratus/ Microceratops in the original version of Jurassic Park. The video footages of Jurassic World: Dominion contains flashbacks in the Jurassic Park era and the leakages from the Dinosaur Protection Group show that Microceratus/ Microceratops are raised in the production facility in Isla Sorna. That dinosaur species is intended to be added to Jurassic Park in Isla Nublar and is awaiting shipment order. However, the incident in the park and Hurricane Clarissa prevent it from occurring. Thus, Microceratus/ Microceratops are let loose into the wilds of Isla Sorna and are not encountered by any group of survivors.

When this species is added to this game, I can make the classical Jurassic Parks in Isla Nublar 1993 and Isla Sorna as well as the ultimate Jurassic Park in Yosemite Nation Park in California. It is only applicable in the Sandbox gameplay.

Campaign was just bit on short side for me not a complaint before anyone starts.
Once you figured the herding it was easy but still enjoyed it.

Lucky you, i didnt have the guts to watch the film lol. I did stop watching it after 15 minutes. They seem to make the movies for 5 year old kids all the time these days. Its depressing and dissapointing, but its what it is. TV and Cinema of today.

Sure there's dinos from the new movie missing in this dlc but I figure that's because there's another dlc in the works. The thing that bugs me is the biosyn facility in sandbox is totally nonfunctional (thought it would've acted as a science building) and would have thought the fossil map would have been replaced with the amber mine map in sandbox.

It's cool that we have the anti-rustler buildings in sandbox as decorations now, but i'm sure there's plenty of people that would like them to be functional and have rustlers as a toggleable option in sandbox settings. Since they have a uinique design, it's also worth stating it'd be neat to have the rustler jeep skins for our own vehicles or, even better, get options to customize the rustler jeeps with our collected skins. Would be kinda nostalgic to see some of those green inGen jeeps breaking into your park and stealing your dinosaurs. :D

Speaking of rustlers, I wonder if anyone want that in the challenge mode in which the setting is the Sierra Nevada ranch. It is the same map as the last of the Chaos Theory levels.

It should act as a Research building by default, but you will need a Science Center in order to view any fossils you've collected in the Resarch Compound building.
