Don't accidentally sell your hanger - a tale of whoops

I swapped out the fuel scoop for an extra size 8 cargo bay so I'll notice pretty quick if I forget to put things back when I leave...

Ditto (not C8 though) and then wondered why I wasn't scooping :D
I also swapped out the DSS for a prospector..... And then found I couldn't probe for hotspots of course.

Transferring a hangar from somewhere else........ Doesn't bring the SRVs either :(

I have an SLF hangar waiting to transfer to the next CG location if that's a possibility since I left the bubble with the mining gear. I wonder if I'll have to use a reprint as soon as it arrives...

originally i stripped out my phantom to refit for mining. i then realised that i lightweighted the ship so when fitting the mining guns i couldnt as the mass of the ship was so low.

i then placed it all back to explorer mode again and my 2 SRV hangers were put back on board complete with the SRV's. So for me i didnt loose my buggies.

I decided to buy an asp and fit that for mining. When we leave for the next and following WP's i will strip the asp and keep it all in storage then when we get to WP7 transfer it all to there.

HINT: as you might be reading, i said strip my miner of the modules and store them. If, when we get to WP7 and they have a shipyard then i will buy another asp and then only have to transfer the modules i need. If they dont have a shipyard then i will still be able to get at the modules in Omega as i removed them from the Asp and stored them. I wont leave them in the ship as i won't be able to get hold of them.

Same thing happens if and when one accidentally sells an engineered mod vs storing it. Trigger control works well during combat as well as in outfitting.

Upon getting to the Omega base, I put my exploration kit into storage - incl. the vehicle hangar with two SRVs - and fitted my Cutter for mining. Came across this thread and swapped the hangar back into my ship tonight (as am sick to death of mining now...)
Both SRVs are still there. Strange thing though: they'd both lost their livery, decals and weapon colours. Not an issue to re-apply, but I found that weird.

Well I contacted support on the transfer issue - they said they took a look and the sRV's were there...hmm

I transferred the 2nd unit and voilla. SO *maybe* I fitted the same empty hangar twice before (since they aren't labelled) and maybe transferring from the stored items rather than via optional slots is different.

But my money is on magic :) Because the station now stocks planetary hangars and SRV's :D

So I quickly tested putting the remaining hangar into my cobra, and sure enough it was empty. So it seems that transferring via the optional modules makes it hard choose between the two identical units and I fluked it via the stored module section.

Also means that relocating a full hangar from elsewhere *does* retain the vehicles.

Of course, I repopulated the empty hangar before storing it again :D
