Don’t add animal without ___ feature/mechanic.

Hey everyone today I want to discuss animals we want under certain circumstances.
Many of us want aviaries to accommodate flying critters. Many of us want nocturnal houses to accommodate nocturnal animals. Many of us want bigger exhibits that aren’t that too big or as small exhibits which could accomodate critters larger then what we have. Many of us want brachiation update to our climbers or for future dlcs. Many of us want steep requirements for cliff dwellers. This list can go on and on.
Releasing penguins without diving would have been boring. I find true addition of the meerkat without proper borrowing to be strange and I wonder how the prairie dogs will act without it. Yes I know meerkats dog underground and pop up elsewhere but I had originally anticipated some kind of burrowing mechanic.
I personally want gibbons but they shouldn’t even bother until they get brachiation right. Do any of you have some demands for future release animals?

IMO the burrowing in meerkats shouldn't be more than a gimmick anyway. Most zoos don't allow natural burrowing - it's too hazardous to the animals. Tunnel collapse in captive meerkat colonies is an enduring problem, and Dublin Zoo once had to fill in a bunch of wolf dens because they were creeping outside the habitat barrier. The most you might normally see would be artificial tunnels, supported by strong substrate and sometimes plastic, that look very real but aren't. They typically lead to a central chamber that can be accessed by keepers.

And nocturnal animals are already accommodated in the game, by not being nocturnal. What they really need to do is fix the lighting issue in buildings, so we can properly simulate nocturnal habitats. The aardvark, clouded leopard, Chinese pangolin, and giant anteater are all species that are typically nocturnal.

I agree that gibbons without brachiation would be strange, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if brachiation isn't possible. I don't see the need to add in a "steepness" requirement for mountain animals, though - it's not really a welfare issue, so such a requirement makes no sense.

NZ you are correct on everything.
Something I had thought of before North Africa pack
zoos I have been to which have meerkats have had cool viewing tunnels to get closer to them or see where they have dug example includes the Beardsley zoo in Bridgeport Connecticut
Prairie dogs have an inside viewing that shows guests what the animals
I had thought meerkats would make it in a “burrowing” dlc
Second paragraph: yes the lighting would make all the diffetence
Third paragraph: I remember in zoo tycoon 1 there were many animals that required terrain steepness. I had thought animals such as Dall sheep ibex etc would really show off cliff scaling in game leading me to believe the possibility of a “steeps dlc”. Heck maybe a future enrichment could be a “rocky wall for animals to scale”.
