Don't be a party to injustice and denial of due process. Stand with Scythe of Panem!

There are far more questions than answers when trying to discern the actual causes of the blight currently affecting agricultural output and putting the lives of billions at risk. I personally believe this is part of a deeper conspiracy involving powerful people operating from the shadows, above the law, since such conspiracies have been proven to exist in the past and present.

The current campaign against Scythe of Panem is illegal, unjust, and a denial of basic human rights.

To wit:

"Our investigation has confirmed that an activist group known as Scythe of Panem managed to infiltrate Rockforth Corporation manufacturing plants in the Riedquat system. Members of the group contaminated the EX7 fertiliser with a synthetic agent designed to putrefy plant matter."

Based on the above, CMDRs have been asked to summarily execute any members of the above faction without a formal presentation of evidence or trial. They have essentially been declared "terrorists", thus allowing those in power to deny SoP members' basic right to due process.

What evidence, exactly, did this "investigation" uncover? Merely stating that there was an investigation that implicated SoP is not evidence of their guilt, and yet this is the justification being provided to the executioners tasked with the destruction of SoP vessels. Will authorities not elaborate or release the results of this investigation, if an investigation even took place?

"The group’s manifesto discusses revenge for the Federation’s 3301 campaign to wipe out the recreational drug known as Onion Head. This involved an orbital bombardment of Onion Head crops on Panem using biocides with a similar genomic structure to the blight. It’s likely that the activists used these biocides as the foundation of their synthetic agent."

Where is this "manifesto", if one even exists? Surely this manifesto has been made public! I have conducted searches in the Galnet archives (colloquially known by its 21st century name 'Google'). No records of this manifesto exist. Release this manifesto and allow us to read it for ourselves.

Here we also have an admission that a major superpower engaged in a violent, indiscriminate attack on people and property based on said power's subjective, antiquated, and authoritarian stance on people's right to privacy and control over their own bodies. And therefore, is it a surprise that the victims of these attacks resort to violence in their own self-defense? What choice does a small faction have against the might of a superpower, other than violent resistance? The Federation and other superpowers have shown a willingness to unilaterally use extreme violence to achieve their ends, but apparently reserve that right entirely for themselves. Anyone who disagrees with them, or fights back in kind, is labelled a terrorist in [largely state controlled] media outlets.

But we see an even more damning admission in the above statement. Yes, perhaps this unjust and illegal bombardment of Panem gave SoP access to these biocides. But who created, possessed, and utilized these biocides in the first place? The Federation. So if the only evidence implicating SoP is their mere access to these biocides, then by that logic, the Federation should be suspected as well, since they created these biocides to begin with!

[And as a reminder, this is the same Federation which supported the highly unethical and secretive organization known as INRA, which developed another biological weapon, the deployment of which had far ranging consequences: the mycoid virus.]

In short, the connection between Scythe of Panem and the current emergency is tenuous at best. Before engaging in the wholesale slaughter of this faction's pilots, CMDRs need to be presented with actual evidence connecting SoP to the blight. Often, members of the Pilot's Federation cry out for transparency and communication. ;) But here, many willingly accept what they are told and carry out the orders of others based on nothing but unfounded accusations with little to no actual evidence!

I stand with Scythe of Panem, not necessarily because they are innocent, but because the "state" has failed to meet its burden of proof in terms of implicating them in this disaster, the major powers have a history of manipulating events for the own ends, and have access to the very biocide they accuse others of deploying and they themselves have deployed in the past. I call on CMDRs to fight back against this injustice and destroy any ships operating on behalf of this campaign in the Quator system. Do not become sheep and fall into bovine servility like so many others!

To the CMDRs that fell before my guns in Quator, Orerve, and Diso, I salute you.

You died because you ignorantly support the machinations of tyrants and oligarchs. To those who died honorably, I offer you my respect and I hold no animosity towards you personally. You chose your side and I chose mine, and that is why I killed you, nothing more. To lawful CMDR Rick Storm, who tried to collect the bounty on my head and forced me to retreat after a hard fight, o7.

For the past few days I have been conducting operations in these systems, attempting to disrupt and undermine the various community actions currently underway there. I believe these actions are part of a wider conspiracy, the purpose and details of which are still unknown.

What also seems uncertain is that a small anarchist faction (Scythe of Panem) has the resources, the means, and the desire to starve billions of people to death, but that is what the authorities ask us to believe.

Even if you believe the rather incredulous claims of those who make you unwitting executioners, it now turns out that your efforts may all be for naught, as the blight may spread in spite of your efforts over the past week. The article also implies that the blight has resulted in unexpected but otherwise positive benefits for certain industries. What other far reaching consequences await us as the blight continues, and who might these consequences benefit? Certainly things to consider going forward.

Is it bad that I read your entire post in the voice of Alex Jones? :LOL:View attachment 148892
Ah yes I have read about this 21st century firebrand and purveyor of fake news. If you wish to use his voice to read my words, that is your choice, but I am not spouting mere conjecture or spinning webs of deceit!

Mark my words, there is a conspiracy going on here larger than either of us can imagine. What it is, I am not sure. But the superpowers have colluded and schemed against the galaxy and its population before, this is a fact.

Is it impossible to believe that this biocide (the Feds created it) and antidote (one also assumes created from biocide stocks the Feds possess) and blight are not their doing as well?

The illegal and unjust campaign against Scythe of Panem has been declared a "success" by the authorities behind those efforts.

And despite claims of "questioning" and "investigations" as proof of SoP's crimes and implicating SoP as the perpetrators of the blight, the real evidence collected by these investigative efforts has still not been released. Simply saying questions were asked and a successful investigation was conducted is not enough. The results of that questioning and investigation must be released with full transparency.

For days, CMDRs operating from scant details carried on a war against a faction whose guilt was far from proven, if established at all. This injustice will not go unanswered.

Until this "evidence" is released, I will continue my personal campaign to destroy any ship continuing to support the blight relief efforts. 😈

Noble, but you really need to work on your FOF discipline. That you shot down my cargo ship in Diso, fair play during a blockade. But then you shot again without question or hesitation when I returned with an Onion-decaled Alliance warship fresh from the line in Quator? Gotta get better at recognizing your allies, my friend.

If you are who I think you are, I assumed that you were returning in a warship out for revenge, in which case I decided to take the initiative and shoot first. As for your decal, sorry, in a combat situation I'm not looking for one and didn't notice it in any case. Didn't see any comms from you either? Anyway, since I had just killed you, it didn't occur to me that you returned in peace.

Hopefully no hard feelings though, o7.

Oh, no hard feelings whatsoever. You actually won my very first (and second) rebuy since I switched from KBM to a HOTAS a few weeks back, and gave me some food for thought about where I can tighten up my performance. I may have been in a PvE fit Chief, but I should've been able to dodge your beams better than that. So cheers for that, and cheers to a fellow defender of the little guy against the great powers.

I don’t believe the Scythe of Panem are guilty. I think it more likely that these blights have been caused by genetically engineering the food supply using research from the barnacles. Big Farmer trying to increase crop yields by using alien DNA, without proper oversight.

Either that, or the blight was a deliberately manufactured event designed to fool unsuspecting cmdrs into delivering the “cure” which is actually the barnacle growth agent. Ever notice how quickly barnacles regenerate meta alloys?

Edit: Also, some more food for thought. When the treatment was apparently being created, it was reported “We are testing a number of potential treatments, including some radical methods suggested by teams from Neomedical Industries.

The thing that frightens me the most, is how many civilians are now eating these foods that have been treated with this highly questionable Agronomic Treatment!

One last thing; The Mycoid virus was originally created by a specialist in agricultural science, trying to wipe out famine. Sounds eerily familiar doesn’t it? EX7, the fertiliser created by Rockforth industries, was designed to increase crop yields for systems that were facing famine.

Keep digging cmdr. Your efforts may yet bear fruit.
