Hey guys, I've been a veteran player for Elite: Dangerous for some time. I've hit the thousand hour milestone I think, I can't really confirm since I play through the Launcher.
Anyway, I posted a link to a picture on the Elite: Dangerous subreddit.
Note that this was content from the Elite: Dangerous subreddit, about Frontier, who created Elite: Dangerous, rerouted in a way, back to the Elite: Dangerous subreddit.
A few minutes after the post went up, I was greeted by this:
I was confused, wait what? the content was not directly related to Elite: Dangerous? Okay, must be a mistake I guess. Maybe I'll try rewording the title.
Tried again, same thing, a few minutes after the post went up, was greeted by the same message.
Now I was beyond confused right now. Was this moderator trying to remove nostalgia posts about Elite: Dangerous for some reason? I don't really know guys, but that comic was part of a significant moment in the Elite: Dangerous Community.
So I questioned /u/MagicBigFoot with another post.
Low and behold, I was greeted with this.
I find this quite ridiculous really, on the release day of Horizons Beta as well.
I sent him a private message saying:
He then proceeds to say:
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL LORD BRABEN?
It sounds ridiculous, I may be crazy, but I'm not crazy enough to violate (at least to my best ability) Reddit's Content Policy where the admins can IP check your account and trace you back to ban you permanently from ALL reddit communities.
I just don't really understand at all. How can a "distinguished" moderator, be acting the way he is? I sympathize that yes its release day, there are many posts to moderate, you're balls deep in posts, your hormones are raging, but for the love of our Holy Lord Braben, please:
1. Explain in what way the content that I posted FROM EliteDangerous subreddit, ABOUT Frontier, TO EliteDangerous subreddit, NOT DIRECTLY RELATED to EliteDangerous.
2. Explain in what way did I deserve the wild accusation by MagicBigFoot, with a hint of malice.
3. Explain in what way can we learn from this issue so that future issues can be avoided.

May I ask in what way was my post not directly related to EliteDangerous when its taken exactly from the front page of EliteDangerous subreddit?

Help me understand in what way was the content that I posted from EliteDangerous subreddit to EliteDangerous subreddit not directly related to Elite Dangerous.
He then proceeds to say:
Let's talk about it tomorrow Mr I'm Going To Make Several Alt Accounts And Spam The Sub With Them.
