Don't mess with the flight mechanics

They are perfect. They really are. Hard to get used to, but once you do they are so cool.

They are indeed. :)

They are also pretty much the same as they where when we first got them back in December so any potential changes at this point will only be very minor IMO.

Agreed. They certainly seem to have nailed it!

I think one of the biggest changes from early Alpha is that your pitch speed is now increased significantly if you boost. This is a good change

All thanks to smashing Mike "Hulk" Evans defiance :)

Seriously though, since day 1 flight mechanics just clicked for me. I am no master of them, far from it (looking forward beta and gamma to sink more hours), but they just make sense.

yeap, just getting hang of it and it didn't even take long, like 5-8hours and just because i never played with the stick before but that is how it is supposed to be after all - just flying is easy enough but good flying needs alot of practice :)

they really have to stick with it!!!

Took me a few hours after understanding that I needed to lower the thrust friction and remove the main spring off the TM Warthog! Yeah, getting mechanic even in games!!!

Now the controls are more 'loose' without being it completely as centering still works, and, now I'm getting used to pilot the ship. So the control now fits my new spring and friction less setup: DO NOT TOUCH :D

I fully agree. As a sim pilot and fan of the old elite, the controls feel just right. Shouldn't tinker with perfection.

I have Pitch and Roll on my left Xbox stick and Yaw in on the Right stick. Is that how everyone else does it? I honestly find the ship easier to fly if pitch and yaw are on the left stick and roll is on the right stick. But it seems like most pros do not fly that way. I don't think Elite is about yawing since that is super slow and you can't track most anything, it is a rolling game, right?
