My buddy and I experienced this too.
There are blue boxes on the radar for the ship and rover, the wing signal moves around on the screen, but no actual ship or rover is visible.
Maybe a bug report is in order...

I don't know. I stopped when they purged the old backlog of tickets and went to a "new" system.
