Don't time the release of Horizons with Fallout 4

Im one of these gamers thats all or nothing,i used to live on the older flallouts so im very much moist when it comes to fallout 4...

i also play ED on a daily basis, ill probably switch between the 2,but if F4 is the amazing game that sucks me in like the others then it may well take my time up.

i thought the same about MGSV.....love the games, played em all through the years.....but there is nothing quite like being your own boss in your own space ship.
i havent touched mgsv for over 2 weeks lol

So when and where will this new info for Horizons be announced, twitch ?

I don't want you to miss it:

The panel
On Friday 25 September at 4PM BST David Braben, Michael Brookes, Chris Gregory and Sandro Sammarco will be live on a panel at the Developer Theater. During the panel they will be talking about some of the new features coming to Elite Dangerous: Horizons. If you’re attending EGX make sure you don’t miss out on the exciting announcements and exclusive EGX giveaways. If you're not attending EGX you can watch the whole thing live on the Eurgogamer YouTube channel

I have pre ordered Fallout 4, if Horizons beta is out on Nov 10th as well, i will give it a few hrs try, maybe even play both for a few days. But i will probably take a break from ED eventually, a month or so, and play FO 4 all the time until i complete the storyline, and built up a settlement.
That's the main reason i bought FO 4, for the crafting and building. But like all story based games, when it's done i probably will not play it again, or very little. And then be back to ED full time, until SC gets to be a fully playable game, then i would stick with the one i enjoyed the most.

Nothing beats skyrim more than walking through a forest of palm tree's while its snowing, a mudcrab in a pink bra following you while you take down flying thomas the tank engines, shoot arrows that go "pew" each time you let one go and having a telly tubby as a companion.
Too true. For me though, I just enjoy scenic routes.. like climbing vertical mountains with my spider-horse.

Hrm, well modkit will be out eventually, I suppose there is nothing for it but modding in the ships of Elite so that I can fully immerse myself even when I change games, land and step out of my ED ship and continue my save in Fallout 4 :D

For me, Fallout 4 is a must have on release. Horizons I can take or leave.

I'm assuming planetary landing will be on a par excitement wise with visiting different stations and systems in the current version. Making more places to visit is pointless if there's nothing meaningful you can do when you get there.

So 1.5 beta will clash with Fallout 4 release, and 2.0 beta will follow 2 weeks later :). For me, ED is a long term game, something that I always come back to, but I do like other games too. I have Fallout preordered as of yesterday, and may binge on that, but will definitely get my beta on too. Don't forget that Horizons is a year's worth of content, not just planetary landings, so it's going to clad with lots of games!

While i play elite daily...

DONT

coincide any part of horizons with the release of fallout 4....im afraid you just wont win this one.

Make the meetings now if it does and knock it back by atleast a month as its going to be bad enough with trying to remember the missus' name and the little people that fell out of her when im done let alone learning how to use my elite controls once more.

Anyone even remotely sensible who has played the last couple of Fallout games should be well aware of Bethesda's track record of horrendous bugs and save corruption issues that will almost certainly be there at launch, and will wait at least 6 months for the worst of them to be patched before even touching it. ;)

The leaked and non-leaked footage shows the terrible facial animation and weird 'uncanny valley' character models we've come to know and love from Bethesda too. :)

I dont know why such a big studio cant get their animations and models right. Still I will play hell out of new Fallout.
