don't wanna play- too many problems

I love this game. like. Immensely. I'm so invested in the game's success and the idea of it in general! I love zoo games SO much and it feels like it's been such a long time since we had a decent studio pick one up?

but the game as is, from literally the beginning of beta until now, is just

a mess

and it's such a mess that even though I've clocked 130 hours and keep getting cravings to play more, I can't? I think "oh I wanna play planet zoo" but then I remember it would be impossible to make conservation credits without starting up some sort of puppy mill zoo and my keepers wont feed the animals and all my animals die too fast and I'll be micromanaging that whole time and that isn't even a quARTER of the issues I'd have, in one play session

it made me so tired, playing it

and now I don't want to. so I don't

idk I just find it really sad? I have no doubt that one day it will be fixed, but that won't change the fact that the launch was soured by gameplay that felt like it was still in beta. I feel like this game should've had many more months of development and testing before being fully released? it doesn't feel like a finished product, it feels like it should be early access frankly

:(

I will only comment on the keepers feeding your animals.
Have you used zones? I have been building my zoo slowly. Ensuring one zone is self efficient before moving to the next and it has been going fine. The only time my keepers don't feed my animals is when I change a habitat to a degree that it removes the zone assignment and I forget to check.
There are things I would change, but as it stands it feels good.
Exhibits require the most attention as they are small and tend to have mass procreation that needs to be kept in check or sold off.

I only play career mode and I feel the same. The food costs bug amongst other things is massively killing my enjoyment. Wish I'd waited a year.
Last Frontier game I buy unless they actually think about fixing these ridiculous bugs.

yes, I have used zones. and I build my zoos achingly slow, my main one only has 3 habitats

zookeepers, by design, prioritize feeding enrichment feeders first. which unless you have the exact right amount of animals, becomes a problem quick. when I remove the enrichment, they place the food on the ground instead of their empty food bowls. which I suspect gives them less food than if they put it in the bowls, because it goes very fast. zookeepers also move too slow in comparison to the time speed of the game, even when I put the habitat gate right next to staff facilities

I've been over the bugs and gameplay issues many times at this point
