Hardware & Technical Double clicking on JStick fire button - not the stick??

I have a T16000m.

Recently I've noticed that in a lot of the menus the fire button which I have set as "select" double or triple clicks.

So if you are selecting a body to target in the nav panel it locks, unlocks etc.

This can happen in any of the menus but also it often does not happen

I have also noticed that if it selected to say the Disco Scanner. The scan will pulse on and off as if the signal from the button is intermittent.


HOWEVER!

When I check the button on the calibration app the button seems to work fine. No double click and no fluctuation?

Any ideas? :S

That usually means the electrical contacts inside the button are getting dirty. The calibration screen is probably just filtering out the extra inputs.

In the past, I've replaced several keyboards and mice due to this. But when it happened to my latest set (X-55 and logitech G600), I instead took them apart and cleaned the switches with electrical contact cleaner.
It wasn't easy. The parts are tiny. But it was worth it.
