Double Shot for Fragment Cannons is Dead and Needs a Rework

After the buff of overcharged blueprints and the stealth nerf of double shot some patches ago the latter is virtually dead. Is there any idea of reworking this or should I sell my double shot fragment cannons?
 
Sell them. They only give a minimal advantage over OCed ones. Converting double shot to a triple shot (all 3 rounds are shot at once) and doubling the ammo cap would do. More total damage and faster burst delivery at the cost of lower burst damage compared to OC in general.
 
As a lot of engineering mats had been invested I'm a bit reluctant selling them. I'm still hoping that FD may rework the double shot blueprints one day. Or is this a silly expectation?

Didnt know that the DS FC are not the meta now.... Everyone seems to use this BP for the FC's...
 
The in-game numbers in the outfitting screen after G5 engineering say that DPS is a bit higher in OC compared to DS. Together with the high ammo dependency - why should one go DS any longer?
 
Just to give an idea, the attachment contains the numbers of my three Corrosive Pacifiers (taken from the in-game outfitting menu).

Anybody able to convince me that DS is still the way to go is very welcome to do so!

Well, DS presumably gives you two applications of the weapon's experimental effect, so there's that. Nobody seems to know exactly how Dazzle works, but I put a dazzle DS frag on my stealth DBX to blind an opponent while I scarper. Haven't needed to use it yet though.

It's not out of the question.
That's what storage ships are for!

But I haven't used mine since the engineering changes...
