Your post mentioned removing engineering from those who didn't want it. That would be you and CMDRs like you. Not other CMDRs who DO want it, and not NPCs who want it because FDev gave it to them. No one is going to reset just the NPCs in your game, why should you get to play on easy mode just because you don't like engineering? This isn't a single player game. If you don't like engineering, don't use it, but accept that life's gonna be accordingly difficult for you.
