Down on my luck. CMDR's where is all the action!

I'm down.:(
So far down.
Been trying to find conflict zones for days.
Tried Galnet suggested systems to no avail.
Tried searching galmap for systems that listed any type of conflict to no avail.
Tried randomly flying along the edge of faction/faction space checking for a tussle to no avail.
CMDR's I ask thee; do you know where the fight is @?:S
Or perhaps a better method for finding a conflict zone?
I'm getting vertigo running all over and scanning the map.
And the random system to system check for a tussle makes me fall asleep.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Nut and surrounding systems have CZ...a system called HOKO...(hehe) that I hang out at has conflict zones near by....seems most major hubs if you check the systems, its a high chance there is a conflict zone...especially in PP areas/

General rule of thumb, pick a star about 100ly away, set to economical plotting, chances are you will hit a system with a CZ at some point along the way. However if you want a concrete one there was a civil war going on in CHIMIRI a day ago, should still be going afaik. Go have a sniff around there for a start.

Thank you Cmdr..o7 back at ya!
I noticed that sometimes when you enter a system the conflict zones do not appear on your galaxy map..flying around for a few minutes will let you know if there is a conflict zone there or not

This is for sure the best way to do it. However keep in mind that depending on how far away they are in that system they don't show on the navigation tab I believe it cuts off around 400 -500 ls but i could be way off on that number. To overcome this just look on your right hand computer and check the status page to see if any factions are at war or civil war if so there will for sure be conflict zones somewhere in the system.

Using this method i usally find a conflict zone within 3-5 jumps

I would say more! Combat zones are usually found near planets and if you are too far away from any they don't appear on yor nav panel. Just approach any planet to check for CZ. A good hint is your comms panel: youmcan often read about NPCs commenting thensystem is too dangerous or things like that.

Hmm, using the Galmap, I spent usually 2-3 Minutes to find a CZ one or two jumps away from my current postion. Maybe I have always luck.

What is the current system you're in?

Ello CMDR Sire,
Another excellent idea! I will definitely keep an eye on the comms chatter.

I my opinion this is not a good idea. It's like rolling the dice in the hope to get a 6. If you're enjoy to fly around for possibly nothing, then go ahead. For me this would be a huge waste of time, I have available, to enjoy the game.

Ello CMDR Robberer,
Send me some of that luck!

Kachian
Ello there CMDR Robberer!
1st off let me /kowtow!:D
2nd, where did you find a gypsy to steal a crystal ball from?;)
Not only were there high and low intensity conflict zones in Kachian, but the HICZ is between a station and planet it orbits.
PERFECT!
Thanks so much.

I'm that Gipsy you're talking about. Touch my crystal ball and I'll break you're face, not. :p

Actually, it's soo easy to find the right system by yourself. Open the system map of systems around you (if available(sometimes you can purcase system data too)). If you have the map open do not select any object and you will get a list of the factions in that system and their current state.

e.g.

You want to see State: Civil War.

P.S.: this whole "active conflict zones" thread is complete nonsense because it's most of the time outdated because CZ are, let me guess, active for a week, then they disappear. (that's my experience)

Ello CMDR Robberer,
lulz Kowtow is like when a worshiper gets down on their knees and bows repeatedly:)
Thanks for the pic. Nice to see exactly where to look.

Ello CMDR Babelfisch,
Thanks for the link. Can't believe I didn't find that thread myself. I did a forum search several times.
Should prove very helpful. Thanks!
