Ok OK, you win internet. I'll wait till tomorrow to download. Don't want any extraneous errors messing up my Beta. Enough bugs to deal with I am sure!


EDIT: Ok scratch the above. Was a temporary slowdown. Total download only took 1.5 hours.

Did you copy like for like? As in 1.5 > 1.6 beta directory, or 2.0 to 2.1? If you mix the versions I would assume/ expect breakage.

No, used the same one but got a network connection disconnected/broken error. Started from scratch, currently 45% through so i'm not complaining. Getting dinner first now and reading those mammoth patch notes

Gutted; mine is chugging along, obviously the servers are being pretty hammered so we can't expect miracles.

As mentioned servers are getting hammered at the moment, give it a little while and tr later.

Start installation and wait until it actually starts downloading.
Stop installation and replace the Beta Win64 folder with the Horizons Win64 folder (skip any already downloaded files)
Restart installation and let it sync the files.

I had to select 'alternative download method' to get mine to work.

I am getting frequent disconnect errors even on clean install, never had this issue before. But, as mentioned, servers are having tough times now probably...

Didn't I tell you to stop playing with your FSD when downloading stuff? That time dilation effect will mess with your computer's ability to figure out if the bits are coming or going.

I was under the impression that the "Enable Virtual Cache" option in the launcher now actually does something along those lines? Although the tooltip text does say that it helps when moving from a beta version to a release version. It doesn't say anything about the other way around.

Download rate is all over the place at the moment, anything between 20 minutes and 12 hours.... not unexpected, though. It will arrive eventually, much sooner than 34 days, I am sure.
