Downloading installation files fails every time

SOLVED, see below...


Im not losing my internet conection, but ED install download is dropping my connection from their site while downloading the Horizons install.
Getting a "Failed to read from response Stream. Network connection closed" error when i cancel the frozen download.

Ive tried removing all virus scanning software, and quit multiple programs (that I do not have to quit playing or installing other games).
Its like Im running around 8-9mb download and then it slows and then freezes both the time left and the download speeds?
I do not know how to proceed at this point...

Deleting the temp files seems to help - redownloading. I love ED but I dont believe I have had to delete temp files in between installs on any other game before... If I may be so bold, Im sure this could be fixed, but far be it from me to suggest that however since I cant even search correctly.

Finally got Horizons downloaded, by closing the install software and running the temp files delete program in Windows 10. Rinse and repeat multiple times. Do not click on the X at the end of the download slot area, just right click & close the download software (from the task bar at bottom) and run the temporary file delete in Windows. Thanks for the clues on how to get this convoluted installation done above!

Yeah, somewhere along the line temps files stopped being deleted when the DL stops. It wasn't an issue in the early days.
