Downloading things from workshop

Hi there,

I am new to the game and really struggling. I played RCT3 for many years and got it straight away, but I cant get to grips with this game at all.

So I decided to download some buildings from the workshop to get me started, but I don't know how. I click subscribe when I find something I like, but how on earth do I download it?

Really struggling to like this game at all and feeling very disappointed that simple things seem to take forever [bored]

when you hit subscribe steam downloads it for you and all you have to do is open planet coaster and go to my blueprints to find it

Thank you so much! I'm not normally so useless but i just cant figure this game out at all..

Doesn't seem to work for different items from workshop, either that or am not in correct spot ingame. I goto my blueprints but the items ive subscribed to don't show up at all ?? [wacky]

It depends on the type of blueprint:

Anything that is placeable within a park (rides, scenery, etc.) shows up on the My Blueprints tab at the bottom of the main game interface. The subscribed blueprints are mixed in with your own creations in no particular order so you just have to look carefully to find them.

Downloaded parks, OTOH, are in the My Parks / Downloaded section of the main menu.

Also following on from what Bullethead said, if you are playing Career or Challenge, you are limited by what objects you have researched. So for unlimited blueprint options, you need to play sandbox.

dont give up Mr. 1984..... i was VERY frustrated at first pounding my fist and yelling at first, you just have to get used to a different interface, dont try to do things the way you did on RCT3. i played for 22 hours strait once and still had to force myself off it. LOVE IT!! keep it and keep trying.

Should I report it on the bug forum if I am unable to subscribe to blueprints and SEE them in my 'My Blueprints'?

Specific example follows:

I would like to add this dark ride: The TRON Ride Experience ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=891395188 ) and, so, I've subscribed...
I look in 'My Blueprints' (left of 'Coasters' tab) in game and do not see it. So I quit to main and come back in ...and cannot see it.
So I exit the game and re-start it. ...still no blueprint of TRON. I was looking forward to it so.
Come to think of it there have been quite a few I do not see! It's not just this blueprint but at least half of the various blueprints I subscribed to for dark rides!!!

What could I be doing wrong?? Oh, and fwiw, I have 52 blueprints (so far) and can see them all if I expand the DLC Items. (yes, other blueprints I have subscribed to DO show up - just no idea what's what. Umm, help?
