Dozens lined-up F (WHITE) STARS near Eagle Sector IR-W d1-105 ?

Next to Eagle Sector IR-W d1-105 are dozens of unnaturaly lined-up F (white) Stars.

Since that's on the way to Colonia, did anyone maybe stop and explore any of this systems? Is anything interesting there, because of their strange position?
Thanks!

I believe what you're reffering to is a star cluster. There are many all over the galaxy. You'll probably find most have been well tagged, as they tend to stand out. But hey, go see for yourself, maybe there's a few nice systems that people missed, or some cool planets to go map.

They are stars imported from real catalogues. (The wiki article linked is about something else.) When they were automatically converted, many near each other ended up in such lines: there is error from uncertainty in the real stars' positions, but that doesn't translate well into the game. Besides, all our actual measurements are from one star system.

Such so-called catalogue stars are always cool to visit, because unlike the procedurally generated ones, they do exist in reality. There's also that some kinds of stars only exist when imported, and aren't generated by the Forge.
However, don't expect to find many untagged. If they are easy to spot and near popular areas (like the Eagle nebula), chances are they have been surveyed and tagged thoroughly. Well, out of the way though, you might still find some new catalogue systems, most likely from HIP or HD.

In comparison, if the system's name contains the word "sector", it's a procedurally generated one, with the name of a nearby real cluster / nebula / etc stamped on top of it.

I'm pretty sure those are representative of the 'Pillars of Creation' in the Eagle nebula. I've been there, and I've visited every Class-F star in that group... there are over 100 of them.

I was lucky enough to find one solitary system which had not been scanned (or rather fully scanned), so I got my name on an itty bitty piece of it. That and I did a lot of body mapping. There are PLENTY of Geo and Bio POIs to visit there (Bark Mounds). Overall, it's a beautiful nebula and worth a visit!
