We're fine, thanks for asking...

What is wrong with you lot?

We're currently exploring the nuances of the sub-concious expression of suppressed inner unconcious desires from the Freudian perspective, in a dynamic social context of ego vs ego, and the resulting contradiction of parallel truths having symbolic influence upon the superego of each participant.

Or we could just be being playing silly b*ggers. :p

Methinks the latter is the more likely propersition.

And no way am I getting in that paddling pool.

Like, totally.

Yes, that first one smacks of total ...

Although you and I might not, there could well be some willing participants. I think y'all should take one to the Elite meet, just in case...

Congratulations Darren and T.j

If you do choose the jelly option, don't use the blue kind. The colour they use is (was?) banned in the EU so I had a friend send me some blue "jello" from America to try. It turned my children's pooh green. Lord knows what full immersion might do.

Tie break.... hmmm host makes the casting vote or last weeks winner.

which ever isn't in the tie break... if both host and last winner are in the tie break... then it goes to Gavthomas . (hehehh little joke there)..

Oh that's ok, my Drabbles are crap and I missed last week's on hols.

Congrats to both Drabbling Drabblers :D

I don't want to get into some sort of "Who's on First" comedy routine. Did you mean that "Lasers at Dawn" is the subject of the next Drabble poll?

Yep thought it was apt with all the duelling references. :D

Woo, drabble tie!

Well, jelly wrestling is a fun option, but it might be easier to just have a topic chosen by each winner and then for the next challenge people can choose which of the two they want to write about. This sets a simple precedent for the future.

I'm finishing off my Anthology story now and there's a lot of explosions at the end, so I have a simple theme: Explosions.

Congratulations both!

Gunfights and jelly wrestling? I may have signed up for Elite, but I know what I'm staying for...

Seeing as 'Lasers at Dawn" and "Explosions" could have something to do with each other, why don't we combine them to make this weeks subject?

And to make it easier - seeing as "Dawn" is a planetary phenomenon, the subject could be "Lasers" and "Explosions", with both words having to appear in the drabble.

It's past dawn (at least here in holland).

The winners have until lunchtime (that's High Noon british time) to either object or submit something else, otherwise I rule that this will be the new subject.

Objection! "Lasers at Dawn" has a very specific meaning beyond just "Lasers". And we've rarely had a "words having to appear" rule. I don't seeing anything wrong with just a "Lasers at Dawn / Explosions" theme. If people want to incorporate both that's their prerogative.

Also, since I started this ball rolling with my "pistols at dawn" comment, I would kind of feel like I stole the subject! :D

You are the co-winner, so you get the final say!

So, no changes to the original subject suggestions.

"Lasers at Dawn"
"Explosions"

Extra kudos if you can combine the two subjects into one drabble.

I'll just wait until noon before posting the new subject in the main thread.
