That's the trouble with trying to get feedback on writing from competitions with a limited number of votes. Given the quality of all the entries, I think we'd see a much more even set of scores across the board with the kind of system over at Drablr, similar to Facebook 'likes'. (If you like a drabble, you hit '+1').

Like we've often said, 3 votes is never enough! But it's a different beastie that we've got here :)

Or a scoring scheme of 0 - 10, 0 dislike, 10 the best of the best of the best.

then all scores add up and highest score wins. But to implement that in a forum would be soopa hard work, and I can't see FD doing that.... I rather they worked on timing beta1 to be released 2 days after I get my joystick (around the 16th please Micheal, David... Thanks)

I'm with you on that. I'm waiting to get some tax money back so I can get a completely new, and dedicated, rig, with joystick, multiple monitors, etc. The Ocular thing is interesting too, but I'm not so sure it won't be too head-achy. I've seen some VR / AR products made by an American firm, www.vuzix.com which look lighter, but they're not cheap... anyway, wrong thread for this discussion.

It's 2014 and the launch is getting closer  :D

P.S. I didn't mean you shouldn't be discussing it - I meant that I should shut up about it... just so you didn't misunderstand me :D

There is a group of drabbles on 3 votes, valiantly striving to catch up to the leaders. They need your votes, and there is not much time left as the poll closes this evening.

Congratulations to Darkoba on a great win for a great drabble! Very close in the end - I blame myself for voting for you ;) :)

Many thanks Musashi. The poll's not closed yet, but there doesn't seem to be many more voters.

If it's any compensation, I voted for you, too. :D

Oops! I see now that the poll IS closed! Shucks, er, I'm speechless. Thank you everybody :D  :D    (mixed feelings)

I guess I should introduce a new topic. That's as difficult as thinking up a drabble.

I considered "Indecisiveness" for a while, but I couldn't make my mind up...

I'll think about it and post the new subject on the main drabble thread.

:D

Woo, well done Darkoba! I blame voting for you too ;)

Looking forward to a new topic...

Thanks Darren, for the message and for the vote... see you on the main thread :D

Oh, and you had one of my votes as well... hope I'm not giving too much away, here.

Sorry, I didn't get around to voting, something came up. If it's any consolation, one of my votes would have gone to Darkoba so it wouldn't have made any difference to the result.

But you could have changed second place!!!!

I have a secret war with Musashi over who is second to Cathy in the global drabble rankings ;)

Well done sir! That's what I call a skin-of-your-teeth win, with two contestants nipping at your ankles. You can now calm down a bit <phew>

Thank you Frank. You're not wrong. My ankles feel shredded. However, I am retrieving a portion of my normal calmness now (pant, pant). :D
