The nearest grocery store is 10km away, I could go there with a bike, but its quite difficult transporting all the groceries in a bike.

With that, you can buy a lot more groceries with the money that you save on the gasoline.

Here in Fla if you're on a bike or walking then you're likely to get hit by a car. Lot's of bad and older drivers around here. Besides my commute is 40mi/65km so it would take me forever to get to work.

I could do that, and risk being hit by a car. People where I live really beleive the street is their property. I'll rather not risk it.

I have never owned a car, just a couple of motor cycles. Up until about 10 years ago; I would cycle everywhere. Now I am reliant on public transport. In London this is good, but in my home town, it is hopeless and often it is easier, to just walk.

For work I use a motorcycle.
For weekend family trips I use a car.
For walking the dogs I go on foot tough.

In this case, opt for the cargo bike with the load at the front.
