Driver contracts (new and renewal) are incredibly expensive

Is it me or is paying 200% more to sign a contract with a new driver or to renew a contract feel like quite a significant markup?!

Couldn't agree a deal with Albon who was on about £5m pa and wouldn't accept £14m pa! Ocon was on £5m pa and accepted £15m pa!

Feels a lot!

Huh... I got Ocon for 12 mil a year in US dollars for Mclaren.

I think the only way around it is to sign good prospects to long term deals. Once drivers develop any skill their value just skyrockets.
