Hail, CMDRs!

So, after a little over a month of spacemadness, I have finally made it to where the system opposite of Sol sits on the far side of SGR A*
Since Sol is 0,0,0 you can easily take SGR A* (assuming that is the center of the milky way) and multiply its co-ordinates by two. You end up with roughly 50,-42,51800... or... Drooteou PW-I A36-4!

Here you can find... well... nothing I was hoping to find an entire bizzaro world, and trade places with my evil self and send him back to you guys while I live out my new life in opposite land. Alas, I traveled +50kly and all I got were these boring screenies. I did manage to find 1 system with 2 earthlikes, and another system with 4 water worlds. No Thargoids or Halsey... though there are tons of cool nebulae on this side

Any way, I can't wait to get back and hand in my exploration data to my minor indie-anarchy faction that I spent months installing into my home system ~70ly from empire/fed space! Oh... whats this, then? Some punk has expanded Zermina Torval's bubble into my home and completely undone all my work That was a low pop, extraction system... it didn't even have an orbital station! I had my ships parked one system away! I had never even seen a CMDR in my area of space before this, and now they come for mindless expansion just to earn merits!? Seems like Hutton Orbital is the only safe place from merit grinders who care not for the plight of indie pilots.

yes, I have had a lot of time to plot my revenge and think up cool mission names don't judge me hehe
I could hand the data into Li Yong-Rui for extra cash, but it was never about the credits.
It was about RPing; bringing medicine and food to my faction with my trading python & doing missions. This was end-game for me.
I had made up an entire world in my head and that was fun I hope that sub-par mining laser was worth it

But hey, I'm just one CMDR, and you're here for awful screenies!

Well done for making the other side.
I feel you PP pain. My little minor faction started in an High Tech, expanded to a 2000 population extrnaction site ("the back end of the universe" ), and now we are in conflict to take control of a Refinery/Extraction 20,000 population system, with the high Tech getting close to exapnd again. It would all be great, except on Thursday all the systems will be exploited by the Alliance.

I got very negative about this last week, and was going to quit the game last Friday (been here since the first release of Alpha, and only Power PLay has made me feel that way), but I decided I am just going to shoot Alliance pledged players on sight, and grief them into solo or out of the area. We have a couple of Empire powers heading this way as well, so even more Power play players to shoot (cue evil laughter).

If Power Play is going to affect the area as badly as I think it will, I'll be wanted pretty much wanted everywhere in an area I have invested three months of effort into - wiped out in 2 weeks, by an equal number of players with no way to come back at them - it sucks man.

PM me if you want help when you get back, I'll probably need another area by then .... if I am still playing the game that is.

So we get from PP to IMP (Independent Miners Play)? Always remember, it takes two major powers to fight over a nuclear submarine.
Also, think twice before watching his Drown Out series. It will change your perception of ZP forever.

Wow thanks for all the support it's good to know there are a few Indies out there. Fight the power! A few of us on the forums are cooking something up. If there are any other unpledged, whether you be fed, empire, ally or indie, please feel free to PM me. Let's get something going!

I tried to give Drown Out a chance, I know what you mean haha not really my thing.

ah sorry, missed this one.

Project Orion is actually a group of players testing how well we unpleged can effectively push a power out of a system. There are a few tests I personally will be running when I get back to Human Space.
Our goal is to see how, if at all, an unpledged player (or group of players) can resist a power's invasion, some things we may be able to do to prevent it, and ultimately if we can counter it once it happens.

With out knowing all the facts it would seem that powers have a much greater advantage over us. Still... it would be nice to know where we stand as unpledged.
