Drop rates at Dav's Hope?

Does anyone happen to have info on on what the expected drop rates of the various materials per loop are at Dav's? I assume at some point over the years someone did a test like run it 100 times and see what they got, but I'm only finding scraps of information, or info that only covers grade 3 and 4 materials.

The main reason I did the Dav’s hope loop was for chemical manipulators,.
Normally 50% chance on first loop then nothing for next few, then I would start getting them after about 20-30 minutes.
I would usually get about 50 in a hour. You get 10 materials per loop and always scan the beacon for good stuff also.
This is about 1 year ago in Horizons.

They did, indeed.

This might be out of date now, though, if FDev have twiddled the drop rates.
Dav's Hope isn't really as important as it used to be since there are now plenty of better ways to obtain mat's.

Here's a chart highlighting what spawns there:

So no G5 stuff (obviously) none of the alloys, and from the composites bin, just the High Density ones.

I did indeed farm at dav's hope for a while, right when it became a thing. But it was not materials cuz relog is meh gameplay, but something else... Cmdrs themselfs. Like at many other "discovery" POI, plently of live stock content at those times. Really popular among paper bulids, really lots of those was around back then.

Anyway, dav's hope sure is popular only among those, who cant really handle combat at all.
I mean, all of these mats are being drop by npc ships, only depend if they are "trade/civilian", "pirate/bounty hunter" or "military/autority" type of npc.
Simply by killing those of each type, mat farming it can be done at vastly higher rate (especially for g4 ones), rather than at dull and boring relog at dav's hope.

I did it 2017. But only scanned the Beacon.

Do people still do Dav's Hope? Amazing, it just doesn't seem a practical use of gaming time when you could be out doing stuff you enjoy.
I did it recently on a new CMDR for some mats for early engineering, I found it fun racing around the loop trying to do it as quickly as possible collecting all the mats and not crashing into anything.

It was needed when it was the only place for "lawful" players to get Chemical Manipulators, but now it's not really an efficient material-gathering method. It's atmospheric though, and I still occasionally go back to experience the creepy-deserted nostalgia.

When the stuff you enjoy doesn't yield anything for progress you have to do it the hard way.
Absolutely incorrect. Normal activities most certainly yields stuff needed for progress.

Activities such as Dav's Hope are for players that want stuff without having to learn much or think too hard. It is the easy mindless grindy method. Not the most overall gaming efficient method. And certainly not the only method.

Correction: Some players might enjoy a very limited set of activities out of the entire game, which might not yield necessary rewards fo other aspects of the game. If a player limits their activities it might get frustrating. Maybe not a good game for them.
