Dropping out of supercruise problem

Hello, I am having a problem when trying to drop out of super cruise when travelling to a station. Sometimes when I try to disengage when it says safe disengage I will hit J and it will give me the blue effects around my ship and never disengage. I cannot open the main menu or my contacts list I can only steer and it will never disengage. The only way to fix it is to end the task in the taskbar and then boot up the game and try again. It is very frustrating because I have cargo contracts that are time sensitive and it happens 80% of the time.

I would appreciate help asap.

How long are you leaving it before going to the taskbar? Sometimes (usually my first exit from supercruise on any given session) can be somewhat longer than usual, but no longer than about 20-30 secs. After that it functions normally - a few secs. Have you tried just leaving it on the blue deceleration screen until it does eventually exit SC?

Try lowering your graphic settings all to low may help. You can gradually raise them after if it does solve it.
