DS4 not working with steam

I have been trying to play on my pc with a ds4, but without success. Steam works fine with it, but the game doesnt. The only way i made it work is by binding controller outpots to keyboard inpots, but for many reasons thats not optimal. Steam does not offer help for problems with games they didnt develope. If you have eny solution or ideas to solve this, please share them with me. Thanks.

I don't know how to do it but people have posted that there is a way to bypass Steam's controller use, see the post :

Maybe you could ask @Soron Silin how they did the "the Steam setting to disengage it from the Steam controller set-up" from that post.

By default, Steam only gives the game a controller that it provides. That is a single, simple gamepad with nowhere near enough buttons.
It only does that if you run Steam in "big-picture" mode, which you can do with a button on the top right bar. You then have to configure the controller in Steam and it all gets messy.

So it is far, far better to tell Steam to [redacted] and let ED find the USB controllers directly.
