never saw this before, approached delkar 7 to mine painite for an engineer unlock, dss kept indicating out of range no matter where I sat or how close or far I was from the ring or planet, any ideas? doesn't matter I still got painite in 2 minutes, dropped right into a core roid.

didn't do that but I wasn't damaged by anything that im aware of
If you selected the correct body, I'd submit a ticket.
LIke Friedenreich Xante already said, the only explanation I can think of, apart from a bug, is that you didn't have the correct body selected.
I had the planet selected as my destination so can rule that out.
