DSS Movement Speed Issue

Has anyone else found a planet or object moving too fast for the FSS to keep up with, at full zoom?

I found multiple objects I couldn't track to zoom in yesterday. Zooming out allowed me to zoom back in, but "on target" so immediately I was trying to chase it again.
Had to relocate to slow the relative movement.

Which makes me wonder, if that's the reason we need to be stationary to use the FSS...?

I'd still like the option to be moving though, if I can't track something at that speed, I can choose to stop.

I also had the infinite zoom bug a few times in the same system.

Yes occasionally some of the blobs are almost impossible to chase across the screen. I have no idea why? Perhaps those bodies have fast orbits. I guess you can test that theory by visiting Mitterrand hollow in the FSS.

The FSS Scanner Screen UI has to accommodate all the various system layouts and inevitably one tool is never going to be perfect for all situations. Fortunately you can still scan the body by flying close (don't even need to target it) so if you can get an idea of a heading from the FSS, try going there.

I've not had any problems like this in the FSS scanner screen yet, but I tend to scan the system from deep space (well away from the orbital plane).

It's when the object is close to you, that's why it doesn't work if you're fast.
I would have been sensible for FDev to explain this point when everyone (myself included TBH) was moaning about having to throttle down to use it during beta.
