DSS Scanner Issue

Hi all - Just come back to the game after a bit of a break, decided to go exploring again.

I noticed that when I probed a body I get no visual indication / marker of the probes coverage. Not a big deal, it's pretty easy to probe and get the efficiency bonus on most bodies, but it was generally useful in the past seeing which parts were already probed / scanned. Is this a known issue and are there any workarounds if so.

Thanks

I've never had any issues with DSS. I've also never seen this mentioned before. That leads me to believe it's an issue on your system. I suggest you perform a file verification with the official launcher.

If you're using Steam, good luck. They apparently inject their own flavor of issues right into the game.

It's sometimes hard to see on some planets, but it is still there, have you tried a few different types and colours of planets to see if it's just unlucky that you hit a body that's hard to make it out on?

Yes, I think that may be the issue, it's just very faint on some bodies. Not how I remember it, but it's livable with.

One other thing to check is that you haven’t inadvertently switched to the view of the back of the planet. I do this from time to time and can’t figure out why I don’t see the probes until that facepalm moment. 🙂
