DSSA Pilgrim's Harbor expedition "Haven of the west" & Visitors Log

Expedition: Haven of the west

Greetings Commanders,
back on the 12th of September the DSSA Pilgrim's Harbor was deployed in Hieronymous Delta, one of the outer western sectors of our galaxy that is still only barely explored.
Thus, the next step I set for myself is to explore and map nearby systems. The goals of said expedition dubbed "Haven of the west" are as follows:

-create a safe haven for visitors
-provide a catalogue of rare stars, planets, bio- and geological locations for visitors.
-provide nearby sources of raw materials needed for jump-boosts, repairs, restock etc.
-provide locations of Tritium spots and also LTD's, Painite and Void Opals in case deep-space mining becomes viable.
-allow players to submit Screenshots of "extraordinary" locations near the FC.
-create a Visitors Log, inspired by other DSSA carriers, for those who wish to "check" the FC as visited or wanting to comment on it.
-finally, create the opportunity to discover locations that may become "Tourist beacons" in the future.

You will find the information mentioned above in the following Spreadsheet . It will be expanding over time, generally i invite everyone willing to participate to do so & submit their discoveries.
For now the list will be restricted to 3 examples of stars & planets, 1 example of each bio- and geological location, 2 locations for materials and up to three for mining spots.
Furthermore, you can freely submit screenshots of your discoveries that don't fit the list, which will be summarized in the head post of this thread in the future.
Also, feel free to leave a comment on your journey & comfort with the DSSA Pilgrim's Harbor for the Visitors Log.

General information:
-Please make sure to provide the system name, distance to the FC, the object number and a short description of the sight you discovered, similar to the structure of the Spreadsheet.
-If your ingame name deviates from that on the forum, please provide it so i can credit you for the discovery.
-Some star & planet types are exluded from the list due to their high frequency (e.g. normal variants of KGBFOAM etc.)
-The list is currently restricted to objects that have already been discovered somewhere in Hieronymous Delta and may expand on new discoveries. It may also include objects from other sectors as long as they are within a range of 5.000 LY or less.
-Generally you can submit any discovery you see fit, here are some examples to watch for: ringed main stars, ringed neutron stars, ringed ELW, bi or trinary stars in close proximity, systems with multiple ELW, Water or Ammonia worlds, landable planets with extraordinary features etc.

The expedition will continue until atleast one example of every category has been found, within a maximum of ~5.000 LY from the FC.
If that proves to be to hard, further locations will be accepted.
The topic will still be available after that for screenshot submissions, visitor log entries and general discussion.

P.S. If you have suggestions to improve this undertaking please do so!

Hello!
I arrived to Pilgrim's Harbor (Bya Chria QY-Y D1-2) safely yesterday, and would like to thank you for providing this haven for explorers! I'm not sure if this is the correct "Visitor's Log" since there seems to be no other posts, but I'm posting here anyway :). (The spreadsheet didn't look to have other than data.)

I'm currently on a roundabout return trip from Beagle Point, heading along the galaxy's north-western rim, utilizing DSSA fleet carriers on the way, on my Anaconda with a 35.8 LY jump range. This system seems to be above the plane enough to have only few stars around, which made plotting directly here impossible for me. I was able to plot first to about 370 or so LY lower, to system Bya Chria YE-Y D1-5. From there I resorted to manual scanning of the galaxy map + utilizing EDSM's Route Planner to get a path here, utilizing jump injections where necessary.

The route I used from Bya Chria YE-Y D1-5 to Pilgrim's Harbor is listed below in the spoiler section, in case anyone finds it useful. I had to use two basic injections and three standard injections to make the route.

The route was 23 jumps for me, with in the end one unnecessary side jump to scoop fuel (since the second-to-last system was a neutron star and the main star in the destination system is also unscoopable - although the secondary star in the destination is scoopable, but I still wanted to fill up before the last jump just in case).

Ouch, what you carrying in that thing? Salvation's missing weapons :ROFLMAO:

:D
When I originally left the Bubble, I spent only minor effort outfitting my ship. I engineered my FSD fully, but didn't bother investigating RNG rerolls or the secondary effects or Guardian technologies or whatever. Also, I didn't realize at the time, that A-class stuff is heavy, even if good, so my ship is full of A-class equipment instead of the (as later learned) more weight-efficient D items. And I'm safety-concerned, so I've got shield generator and probably even some hull reinforcement weighing me down (at least had at some point). Oh, and I have an SRV bay with two SRVs in it and a hangar with a fighter :).

When I left, one of the only things I investigated was, that Beagle Point should be reachable with 33.4 or so LY, so I thought that my 35 is adequate if I ever want to get there (when leaving I was not sure how far I will get - Sag A* was my target but had no plans after that). I actually even had a big passenger cabin in my ship up to Explorer's Anchorage. I think I left that there and haven't gotten it back yet :).

Eventually I got to Beagle Point, and there on a Fleet Carrier I managed to temporarily strip down my ship to get a 42 or so LY range, which - combined with jump injections - actually enabled me to reach even Semotus Beacon (barely) with an 84 LY boosted range. When I came back to the Fleet Carrier, I returned my equipment to my ship, and now my travels continue with the 35.8 LY range. It does take a while for me to get anywhere, but well, that's life for me now :).

Now with update 11 out with its fleet carrier interiors, I got my first ever walking-around-a-concourse experience since Odyssey alpha about 10 months ago (since I've been in the black). I know I'm early with the update just out, but having read also that Pioneer Supplies with suits are available to fleet carriers, that promises me with the possibility to finally get an Artemis and start on the exobiology thing, also after 10 months of waiting :).

And with that in mind, may I ask if there are plans to include that service to the Pilgrim's Harbor where I'm at now? I'd gladly wait a while if it is planned to be added shortly, but if not, then I'll move on with my journeys towards some other fleet carrier hopefully carrying the service. I was resigned to being able to get my Artemis only at Colonia once I'm there, but it can be easily another ten months or so before that happens, so getting a shortcut from a fleet carrier would be nice!

Anyway, thanks and safe travels everyone!

Thank you a lot for this information - I hope it will be of use for possible future visitors. I myself am using a 66 LY Krait Phantom and considering that we are in deep space here i never even thought about ships with low jump range.
As for your question considering Odyssey outfiting (sorry for not getting in touch about this way earlier) - currently there are no plans to refit the carrier with new modules. This is mostly due to absolutely no Tritium (all has been bought up after deployment), some personal issues that restrict the time i can invest into the game right now, as well as me not having the expansion as of now.
For now the main goal is to make sure that the carrier has enough balance to continue operation for at least 3 more years (probably more, as of now there are enough credits for 135+ more weeks) as well as to slowly expand the list of POI in "close" proximity to the carrier - which i've been doing by myself whenever i have the time to do so. (I sure hope that the spreadsheet still works and is accessible to you)

Should you have any more questions i would ask to contact me on Discord, which i try to use more frequently than the forum: Mizumono#0239

Regarding Odyssey outfitting - no problem! I'm already quite far out, visited two other FCs since. On my planned route I still have to visit two non-Pioneer FCs until I reach an FC with Pioneer, at least according to the current status at the EDAstro map. :)
