DSSA Refuelling Initiative

The FCOC-registered fleet carrier Aurora (X8X-74W) is looking at helping out any DSSA deployments which are struggling due to Tritium availability issues, as an ongoing project. It would be departing from Eravate in the bubble.

I would be asking a "break-even" price, which as well as being based upon the price I was able to buy the Tritium at, would also be dependent upon distance (which of course affects costs such as fuel burned and number of jumps). Additionally, the amount of Tritium left over to transfer will reduce with longer trips.

Each trip would therefore have it's own cost and supply tonnage, but to give a couple of examples based on current supplies, a carrier in Colonia would be able to get 13,425 tons of Tritium at 62k Cr/t; for Beagle Point I'd have only 3,836 tons spare and I would be looking at 270k Cr/t (that's based on the purchase value of the Tritium I have right now; if I were to end up buying it all at galactic average, that would make it near 325k Cr/t). When I do the first run, that will help me to check my spreadsheet!

Are there any DSSA carriers which would currently require such a service? Priority should be given to carriers which are currently unable to reach their destination, after which those in place but with limited fuel supplies will be considered.

Honestly, this sounds like the perfect way to help carriers in Colonia in general. Just take a large trader with you, like a T9 or Cutter, and sell Tritium to any carriers in need. With the current asking prices in Colonia, you are sure to make a profit.

Since Colonia seems to be the choke point at the moment (I believe many carriers went or were bought there in anticipation of there being Tritium availability, which has not transpired), I'll head over there anyway and if there are no DSSA-specific requests by the time I arrive I can sell the Tritium to other carriers instead this time.

The IGAU Inverness will soon be refuelling at Colonia, see here - but we don't require much, and should be able to cover it ourselves. Other than us, I'm not sure if any DSSA deployments will need fuel there, or anywhere else: after all, they are one-way trips, so with the new fuel efficiency, as long as you don't plan on coming back, you can load up enough fuel in the bubble for anywhere in the galaxy.

That said, Colonia certainly seems like an excellent place to sell tritium at, with lots of demand and practically zero commodity market supply. It should definitely be worth it to bring fuel there.

Yeah, that's why I wanted to prioritise the carriers that are not yet on station, so that at least they could get there. But it's good that they are managing anyway.

As for you, once I arrive in Colonia I'll prioritise you for anything left that you need, if you want, before putting the rest up for general sale.
