Dual graphics cards

Is anyone still having problems with dual graphics cards and ED? I'm thinking of buying another one rather than upgrade to fancier model.

Multi-GPU for gaming has always been a waste honestly: expensive, supported by few games, and often unstable. For ED I believe it is totally broken in Odyssey/4.0, and there's zero chance of it being fixed because it's a lot of effort for a single digit amount of users. Neither AMD or NVIDIA support CrossFire/SLI anymore either, recommending Vulkan/D3D12 multi-GPU, which is even harder to develop for.

So upgrade your GPU instead of buying another.

Odyssey is not SLI friendly.

nVidia has EOL'd SLI since RTX 2000 series.
AMD XDMA (CrossFire successor) seems to have gone into obscurity, so is likely not supported as well.

With the RTX 4000 series recently out, the RTX 3000 series should become affordable and last for the next three to five years (moreso if you don't do 4K). Similar should apply to the Radeon RX 6000 series with the 7000 series on its way. However, I do not recommend the RX 6000 series due to recent driver issues.
