Dual Joystick Set Up?

Hello everyone. I have an x52 Pro stick and a Thrustmaster T.16000m

I know there are a few of you who run dual joysticks. How do you have your key bindings set. I'm just looking for a base to start with and then I'll adjust as needed for me. I would also like to know how you have your throttle controls set if you have a dual joystick set up.

Thank you, in advance, for any help you're able to provice.

I have a right stick, left stick, and throttle. I have the throttle keybinds set to my throttle controller and my thruster keybinds set to my sticks.

Rt stick:
x = roll
y = pitch
z = yaw

Lt stick:
x = rt and left thrust
y = forward and back thrust
z = up and down

Normal flight works just like before using the rt stick and throttle. When I want to use the left stick for more precise control, I just set the throttle to zero and grab the stick.

Is this a popular configuration for Elite Dangerous or are there others?

I use
Left Stick = X lats, Y verts (inverted), Z fwd/back, Right Stick = X roll, Y pitch (inverted), Z yaw

The inverts are so pulling back on R = nose up, pulling back on L = ship up.

The benefit of using the twist for fwd/back on left is that you retain equal scale movements on your verts/lats, rather than having the shorter-throw twist on verts
The shorter throw is still plenty accurate for the fwd/back, but your diagonal movement (vert+lat) is more fluid with both scales being equal - for me anyway.

It's really personal preference. See what you like best :)

I use the right stick for the rotational thrusters (pitch, roll, yaw) and the left stick for the translational thrusters (up/down, left/right, fore/aft). Plus, since ED permits alternate controls for a lot of stuff, one (digital) thumbwheel for throttle in 12.5% increments in those cases when I'm too lazy to twist the left stick.
