Dual Kosmosima Keybinds help

Hello!

So i recently purchased two VKB Kosmosimas, as i'm pretty new overall to this amazing game and that experience is with HOTAS Logitech X56.
Now that i will be going HOSAS i feel like i need a some tips for the keybinds :)

My biggest "issue" is how i will do with throttle (will not use pedals). Left joystick will be for thrusters. I was thinking on binding throttle to a digital HAT on one of my joysticks. I have played around a bit with it on my X56 just to get a feel and clicking up/down to speed up/speed down actually feels pretty nice. I have also binded 0% , 50% and 100%.

If someone have experience with HOSAS and Kosmosima please share some of your tips and tricks or how you binded your keys.

I use mini-stick for thrusters and have the throttle defined three times on my left-hand Kosmosima:
- Y-axis (combat and other manouvers in normal space)
- A3 HAT for 25%/50%/70%/100% settings (SC cruise)
- En2 for +25%/-25% settings (SC cruise while I have any of panels opened and use A3 HAT for panel navigation, extremely helpful during NPC piracy runs)

Thanks for sharing! Looks very interesting will try it out :)

Joystick binding seems to be a very personal thing, so for what it's worth here's mine. I now have dual SCG Premium sticks on gunfighter bases and was also a bit concerned about what to do about the throttle having used HOTAS up until then. I've found that actually it works OK.

I came to this set up in anticipation of using KBM for Odyssey and so I also have some ship things (for example FSS) still on KBM.

Main axes are rotation on the right and laterals on the left. Assignments are (for the time being at least - I do regularly tweak things):

I used VKBDevCFG.exe to make the ministick button an actual button rather than a mode switch.

I replaced the ministick with another HAT on the left, and have the following assignments:

I find that I use the throttle presets most of the time in normal flight as well as SC, only using the Throttle Up/Down when surface landing and the Thrust Forward/Back when pad landing.

I also used the VKB configuration tool to set S-curves on all axes, and although I normally fly FA-On, I did find when trying out the setup in flight training that FA-Off was actually a lot easier to control with dual sticks than the HOTAS.

I make no representations that you will find my assignments logical.

In as much as the Warthog is one of the default configs one can choose. I did just that. After a week or so, I did reconfigure a couple of the defaults to my liking. But the basic default is a good place to start.

Thank you so much for the detailed picture and explanation. It is very personal indeed but this gave me a really good template and starting point :) I will make sure to share my final bindings if someone is interested.

I will be adding game glass for immersion and maybe even a button box (stream deck).

You made my day!
