Dual Monitors

Hello

I have two monitors, two different sizes on Win10. I'm running borderless Windows Elite.

Is there anywhere I can "undock" say a map and drag it to the other monitor which isn't being used for the game?

Thanks..

Nothing from the game can be dragged to your other monitor.
You can open any other app or window there but nothing from running game.
I have the GPU performance monitor and EDDB running on a 2nd screen

Before going with an Acer Predator 34" curved wide screen 3440x1440 and an Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti to run ED in ultra mode I ran two 27" monitors at 1920x1080 in Windows 7. They could do 2560x1440 but no real advantage running ED. One had Elite Dangerous while the other had multiple fan based support sites with a lot more info than anything I would want to separate out of ED. Today half of my game is in ED and the other half on the Forum. If I'm on the Forum I'm probably playing. Some play styles to consider.

Unfortunately this might be a huge ask.
I think the Cobra Engine runs in a native proprietary mode that does not use the WIn10 UI etc. It loads its own OS so to say.

You can drag and/or close the launcher because its a program using the Win10 UI

Your place is always spotless, so no cats Hooplah? lol
Love the corner desk, looks Danish.
I'm using Edifer powered speakers now for near field monitoring , Game sounds better with a great image and phase. Fiber in from the TV, Bluetooth for streaming and patch cord to the ancient Luxman integrated amp connected to silly Bose 201s

Bose 201s? You know your audio! I use Corsair SP2500 Gaming Audio Series High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System 2.1 Channel, 232 watt for awesome ED audio. I use Bose 401s in my man cave to impress people while we are playing Texas Hold 'Em poker in the corner table. The computer furniture came from Cymax in the USA and is impervious to heat or cold. One could put lighter fluid on it, light it and won't damage the surface. Amazing.

I had a cat named 'KitKat' my son named and was loved part of the cat/dog animal pack. Alas critters don't last as long as humans but give us joy while they are there. In ED I delivered cargo to the 'Church of the space cat' factions.

Sorry if I got off topic. Maybe I expanded it with furniture than just monitors. Back to the discussion.

Hi I'm trying to set up the same sort of thing as above, running the game in the left monitor and having access to Inara/EDDB in the right monitor. My issue is whenever I move the mouse and click on the right monitor, the game is minimized on the left. Is there a Windows setting that will keep the game running in the foreground while I do stuff on the other windows on the right monitor?

Thanks very much,
LP

What's that device to the right of your HOTAS?

Use the Borderless setting, I use it so I have the game on the right monitor and discord + other stuff on the left monitor and can move between the monitors without the game minimizing ... just got to remember to click the game window when exiting hyperspace ;)
