Dual sense edge and Steam

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with getting the dual sense edge controller recognized in Elite's settings. I have downloaded the Playstation accessories app, the controler is recognized by both windows and Steam, and I can remap the buttons as needed. However, when I launch Elite, the controller does not appear in the list of available options. When I select the generic controller option in the game settings, all buttons from the controller behave as if I'm assigning keyboard buttons and the joystics are not operational.

Has anyone had any luck with getting the dual sense edge controller working properly with Elite? I spent the better part of the morning trying to research/troubleshoot this by searching in google for potential solutions but had no luck.

i dont own that controller but i would have thought the device should work raw with just the driver installed
if the device works in the windows test feature (found in devices & printers) ie stick inputs register there you should be ready to rebind
read the bindinngs guide thread here https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...-free-backed-up-binds-look-no-further.554451/
and try renaming your custom 4.1 bind file using the three step guide
then try rebinding a stick axsis ie yaw axsis left ,yaw axis right, thrust up,down then ditto for pitch an roll on the other stick
(you may need to disable steam controller settings and or enable/disable x input in the launcher settings for stick inputs to reg)

Thank you,

Solved, it was actually Steam messing with the controller due to Steam input being enabled. Once I disabled it, the controller was recognized as a generic one and all functionality was good to go.
