Dual Universe

Just a general discussion here. Recently looked into the development of Dual Universe, and it looks rather interesting. Link: https://www.dualthegame.com/en/

Some information first for anyone who doesn't know what it is. It's a game being developed right now by a French company called NovaQuark. I don't know how big they are, but I get the impression it's not extremely big, but not a garage company either. The game is crowd funded, and it has rather ambitious goals. It's currently in pre-alpha/alpha state of development and their plan is to release in 2020. The game is a full MMO, and it's persistent with voxal terrain. The players can build the ships using voxals as well and pre-designed modules. Also, the players can build space stations, save their designs as blueprints and use the blueprints to reproduce more.

It looks really awesome, and I would love to try this game at some point. Not a big fan of MMOs, but the other features look so intersting that I might try to overcome my dislike and play it anyway. My worries for the final game is performance, lag, and especially griefing. It most likely won't be much of exploration in the game, but it seems like a player based economy will be forefront and center. There will be PvP and warfare as well, and I truly wonder how that will work.

Anyone else looked into this game and have some insights or opinions?
