Dull lighting in clouds

Just visited a lagrange cloud (with lightning) for the first time since the april update. I notice that the lighting becomes very dull now when in a cloud. Anyone else with this happening?

Do you mean it gets very dark at times depending what part of the cloud you are in? It was like that before the April update, but I havent been back since so I'm not sure if it's something different?

No, the total screen brightness drops down. The colors just become dull. Everything brightens up again when you leave. Not like a shadow or anything like that, just like the saturation falls off by half.

Here is a link to a short video demonstration. Right after I leave from looking for the mushrooms the cloud is as bright as it was before the update but fades. The faded saturation is what it stays at all the time except when I go to the menus.

8 seconds in is previous brightness.
9 seconds on is now dull visuals.

I wonder if this is somehow related to what is causing some others to lose frame rates.

I'll try it, I think it did that before though to some extent. The brightness in the cockpit was always much lower within the cloud for some reason.

Just revisiting this, I went to a lagrange cloud out past Sothis, not a storm cloud as they are all too far away, but one of the orange ones I'd visited before that's listed in the codex. It seems the same as before, but the dark lighting in the cockpit is there for sure, i just think it's no darker than it was previously. Might be different at the one you were at though.

Im not sure why the lighting is this way in the clouds tbh. It's dramatic for sure!
